The two different chronologies for the patriarchs are because there are two significantly different ways of dating the Exodus. You'll need to look at the evidence and draw your own conclusions! Note that these are still a work in progress, but they're available now for those who want them in this unfinished form. They are covered by a Creative Commons (CC-BY-NC-3.0) licence, so you are free to use them however you wish as long as there is proper attribution and you are not using them in a commercial context. If you wish to use them in something for which you will charge people, please check with me first.
